Week 19

[tweetmeme source=”living_minimal” only_single=false]A few days ago Iain King and I decided on Twitter that this will be the most awesome week ever seen. That is… until next week begins. And we were not kidding. The blogosphere is buzzing with a lot of good writing this week. So instead of the usual three I got you seven awesome articles to read. And to top it of that three, well actually four, extra’s that are equally great and inspiring.

The first one I have is a nice article named Minimalism Is the New Consumerism. It is written by Diggy on Upgrade Reality for people who are just beginning with minimalism. For the experts out there, you should read it as well, it’s got a matrix-scene in it. The second article is a list with the 15 Things Children Can (and Should) Value More Than Possessions. It is written by Joshua Becker on Becoming Minimalist and, as he also suggests, we grown-ups should also pay attention to this list.

The next three article are all on the same subject as my step of last week was: motivation. I’m not going to describe them separately. Just choose the one that sounds best to you.

The last two articles I have to show you are more on the mindfullness side of my interests. The first is from Tammy Strobel (RowdyKitten) is is about How to Practice Walking Meditation. If you’ve never done it, try it! The second one is called Tiny Decision-making by Chris O’Byrne on Tiny Simplicity. He stopped taking decisions on a rational basis and is loving it.

The Extras:

Done with the articles. Lets go to the extra’s!

  • The first extra is from a lady who takes Extreme Light Travelling to the next level. Francine Jay from Miss Minimalist made my attempt to travel light look like travelling with an elephant on your back. Guess I’ve got still a lot to learn.
  • A nice development I’ve noticed from a previous link. In week 16 I added a link to Charley Forness his blog YouSimplified.net on his interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. Guess what, he teamed up with Kye Nelson to create The Tao Project. Multiple interpretations and you can join them if you want. Awesome, right?
  • And last, my friend Robbert gave me a news article from TimesOnline about the social community Blipfoto. It is a blog community where you can post one photo everyday. He has as an amateur photographer a blog there with some very nice photos. See them for yourself if you like on his blog The Wolf Journal.
