Articles of the week

April 2, 2010

Hi everyone,

No man is an island and I’m no exception. Most of the things I write or will write about come from thinking about how other people see and experience minimalism. Here are some interesting articles:

“The barefoot philosophy” from Zen Habits

“Ode to a bowl” from A Life Reinvented

“Creating and maintaining a minimalist desk” from Minimal Student

Have fun reading!

A bowl… Seriously now. I remember a time when these so-called Zen anecdotes were a lot more gnomic and dense. I think they downsized on the symbolism, too. Minimalist writers, tssssk.

    :-D

Haha, don’t confuse zen buddhism with minimalism. I grant you that they have many things in common but minimalism is a lifestyle/tool to streamline your life and zen buddhism is a teaching towards enlightenment.
